FRANCE24 -- On current trends, Muslims will outnumber Christians by the end of the century, yet surveys in Western countries suggest that many people know little about the Islamic faith. Noted Islam scholar Suleiman Mourad says the world's fastest-growing religion is anything but monolithic. In his latest book, "The Mosaic of Islam", he depicts a diverse and rich religion that is a far cry from the Islamic fundamentalism that grabs so many headlines. He sat down with FRANCE 24 to tell us more.
